...5min off the top of my head...anything is more creative than adding "2" to the end of a sequal...though it seems to work for some because of the name recognition in marketing. As long as it's worth playing, I'm in.

whether they were crap, or dumb, or any other negative connotation was never really a concern of mine. In fact I agree with you about Guild Wars: New Age. Its crap because its so generic, yet surprisingly several people voted for it.

If there was one mistake I made, its assuming people agreed with me that the name needed changing in the first place. I should have left an option for people to vote leave it as Guild Wars 2. It probably would've cut down on the negativity and prevalent sarcasm that the Internet traffics.

Quite frankly I don't care what they call it - people go by previews, reviews and friends opinions when buying a game,- not names.
Look at the movies and games coming out these days, most have a number following the title!

... actually now that I think about it I prefer the name Guild Wars 2 - that way it is implied that it is not just a new chapter or expansion to the old game!

guild wars 2 is actually the best name
1: it markets the guild wars brand easily
2: it easily states its the secoond one and go buy the first or die lol
